Dr. Cuéllar believes in maintaining spinal motion whenever possible. If a spinal intervertebral disk has failed and needs to be removed, the best way to maintain spinal motion may be to perform an artificial disk replacement:

(*Dr. Cuéllar does not endorse one manufacturer’s artificial disk replacement device over another)
An experienced patient himself, Dr. Cuéllar understands the importance of non-operative treatments when appropriate, and tailoring care to each individual patient’s needs and goals. Dr. Cuéllar will take the time you need to discuss all options available and explain recommendations in detail using diagrams, spine models and video as needed. He understands how difficult it is for a patient to have surgery and he therefore recommends surgery only as a last resort when non-operative treatments have failed.
Dr. Cuéllar is in network for some major insurance companies. If your insurance is not on our in-network list, our office will work with you to bill your insurance company to obtain reimbursement for you using your out of network benefits. He does not require prior radiologic imaging studies nor referral to make an appointment.
